The Rolex Oyster Perpetual reference 6105 represents the brand's Bubble Back series from the 1940s. This 32mm timepiece demonstrates Rolex's automatic watchmaking during the decade, featuring the caliber A.10 movement with 42-hour power reserve.
The stainless steel case measures 32mm in diameter and houses an automatic caliber A.10 movement. The watch displays a silver dial beneath an acrylic crystal, framed by a smooth bezel. Water resistance extends to 50 meters, and the timepiece is fitted with a leather strap.
This reference appeals to collectors interested in mid-20th century Rolex automatic watches and those focusing on the Bubble Back series specifically. The 32mm case size and silver dial configuration place this reference within the smaller format offerings of the Oyster Perpetual range from this production period.
I think you made an excellent choice. I took the dive in vintage Seiko Divers recently and I don\'t regret the adventure. One Martin Sheen and one Arnie. Gongrtas on your new watch. Bill Pictured below the Arnie
I'm with you all the way on older divers. Mike
From a collector of vintage Seiko divers, that is a beauty . Most vintage Seikos don't age in this way. Either they stay close to the original color, or they miscolor and 'rot'. My single-owner 6105-8000 is stark white, but I prefer the look of yours. Congratulations.
On watches that had their hands replaced the second hand is more red than pink. Very nice example. Bill
Honestly if I had to go back to just one watch I would most probably keep the 6105. Its really an underappreciated piece and has the perfect lines, coin edge bezel and excellent surround markers. Its quite a watch. Seems all the good ones are here ;)
Just the way this was was intended to be used. No safe queen here. Pictures are still wet. Bill
