Ambos presents a photo essay of a Seiko diver, focusing on its aesthetic details and the impact of a strap change. The post highlights the watch's impressive dial craftsmanship, particularly the embossed hour markers that appear applied but are seamlessly integrated, demonstrating Seiko's dedication to quality.

Let photos speak:

Changed the comfy though very glossy silicon to a vintage rubber tropical strap. The 19mm width is not so easy for replacements/ alternatives.

On below's shot you can spot the uneven sides of the hour markers, testimony of the embossed markers. Though they are massive and seem to be applied, they are one piece with the dial! The top part is then polished again to the max... in the right angle, they literally light up on the dial.

Once again Seiko proved to release an as close as possible watch from their past!

The watch on rubber tropical strap looks even better than on the OEM one.

I'm even impressed with the embossed markers - that they can achieve such a sharp edge to them. Cheers JML

Mine says hello... and could someone here post or message me with a source for a nice Tropic strap? I'm intrigued. Thanks!
