Today, two new creations with a new three-day automatic movement and a new design join the Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series. These are reasonably priced watches ($1000-1500) with an automatic movement.

This line currently includes many dial colors 



and the choice of GMT



 or Date models




All the watches have a similar dial pattern based on the leaf shape of a Japanese hemp plant.

Here are the new variations:


Dial opening over the balance wheel, and a 24-hour subdial at 6, plus new streamlined hour markers and matching hands.



The movement running time is increased from ~ 42 hrs to ~ 72 hours.

Thickness still a major issue though... Would love to see more manual wind or compensated quartz inside these cases and dials, since Seiko evidently doesn't feel that they need to make a thinner automatic.
