KMII shares recent images of his Seiko Presage 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Chronograph, reference SRQ019J1, in response to community feedback. This article highlights the watch's Grand Feu enamel dial, blue hands, and the author's personal connection to the timepiece, which his daughter has already claimed for her future collection.

A while ago Marcus rightfully pointed out that we show our Seiko Presage 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Chronographs (SRQ019 in my case) too rarely (here: www.watchprosite.com the thread).

So to ensure no further criticism in that direction here are two recent pictures of mine. As I like to call it. My daughter had namely already decided it's going to be hers as soon as she can comfortably handle its relatively large size.

One needs to get the light just right to get the Grand feu enamel dial visible in photos (same for the blue hands) but the pleasure is there when one does smile

It remains one of the larger watches in my collection and it definitely does not wear smaller than its size suggests.

I also have to say that I am wearing it now much more frequently after having changed straps to the chicken leg leather one. In addition to the material being anything but ordinary, I find the colour combination quite pleasing, too smile

So my SRQ duty done, wish you all a great Sunday! smile

About the Horological Meandering Seiko Presage Ref. SRQ019

The Seiko Presage SRQ019 is a limited edition chronograph model, part of the Presage line known for its mechanical watchmaking and traditional Japanese aesthetics. This particular reference stands out with its specific dial treatment and case finishing, distinguishing it from other Presage chronographs. It was released as a special edition, emphasizing Seiko's commitment to offering refined mechanical chronographs within its more accessible collections. The design cues often draw inspiration from historical Seiko timepieces, reinterpreting them with modern manufacturing techniques.

This model features a stainless steel case, housing an automatic chronograph movement. The case diameter is 42mm, providing a contemporary wrist presence while maintaining wearability. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal, offering scratch resistance and clarity over the dial. The movement provides a power reserve of approximately 45 hours, a standard duration for many automatic calibers in this segment. The construction ensures a water resistance suitable for daily wear.

The SRQ019 appeals to collectors interested in mechanical chronographs with a distinct design language and a strong value proposition. Its limited edition status contributes to its collectibility. The watch often features intricate dial work, such as multi-layered subdials or specific textures, which are hallmarks of the Presage series. It represents a segment of Seiko's production that bridges everyday wearability with enthusiast-level finishing and mechanical complexity.

This is such a good-looking watch-just a bit too tall. Nice that your daughter wants it for herself some day. (And that could work out to your benefit both now and in the future, if you play your cards right!)

I am glad you approve As for my kids, now that they are two I started mentally dividing the watches between them and thinking how this would alter 'my collection' - the part I intend to keep much longer

But it also makes me think of a future where I will be able to have fewer watches without letting any go, if you know what I mean. Something that feels relatively exciting to contemplate

But each time I see the dial of this one, I canโ€™t stop thinking to vintage toy cars made in sheet metal such as these ones below. Am I crazy? ๐Ÿ˜ Best wishes Alkiro

I never played with these as a child so do not have any associations. But I can see where you are coming from I have been more the Matchbox and Majorette (spelling?) type when I was a child

I know thatโ€™s strange but this dial and these embossed car toys seem to be very similar. Best wishes Alkiro
