At the start of December, Seiko has a mini-exhibition at the Raffles City Shopping Centre to showcase Seiko diver's world and also the new PROSPEX Collection.

Before the event began, a quick tour around ...


The exhibition was located at the busy floor of the Raffles City Shopping Centre.


A board showing a partial history of Seiko's diver watch journey, and it started a long way back ... 1965!




A mock-up hyperbaric chamber ...


A model of the Japanese manned research submersible, Shinkai 6500, which a Seiko Professional 1000m was mounted on its manipulator arm and tested beyond the specification at 1398 metres for about
17 hours and passed with flying colours.

over 20 patents in1975.

Kong, Thanks for the report. I did not realise there were/are so many diving watche FIRSTS from Seiko. I knew they made diving watches but I thought it was just a niche sideline. Was that a real baby tuna for sashimi? My favourite photo was this one with a watch actually marked: Hot Product. That's clear and concise marketing technique. Hot Product Regards, MTF

Is that Pepsi bezel watch on the far left side of the picture under "New Model" the smaller Turtle with the crown at 3? If so, any thoughts upon seeing it in person?
