I was able to get away for a 4 days last week to visit with my recently graduated from Cal Poly SLO daughter who is sailing with her BF fro 2 months in the Sea of Cortez. Amazingly, the pace is only 1hr 40mins flight from Tijuana International airport.

Some of the best water I've ever seen and tons of sealife.

Almost landing in Loreto, the little island is the one we anchored at for 2 nights with the incredible water pictured below.

Twinning father/daughter Seiko Dive watches.

Our anchorage fro 2 nights

The PADI Turtle, absolutely love this for wet ops

Last night's beach fish grill with local beverages ;-)

What an amazing place, so happy I was able to get away and experience this remarkable place for sailing.
Cheers,
Tim

The world opened up a little more for me in this trip. My PADI is all the more relevant for me as I envisioned more time down there in the future. It’s a tough environment, all that salt water, sun and general active living. I don’t have many watches in my collection that could endure a couple of weeks down there, let alone a month or two. The UN Blue Surf is probably the only other piece I’d consider. Decisions, decisions...
