Ok.. so I got slightly carried away with the HK Auction. I’d always wanted a Ludovic Ballouard Half Time and when nos 1 (normal production) came up I just went for it. I learnt a lot regarding auctions from this purchase and all the additional costs but now I have it I’m over the moon. Obviously they didn’t send the strap but all I can say is Ludovic Ballouard is a true gentlemen and has been so helpful with this purchase. Direct contact with the watchmaker is why I love independents and why I feel some independents are more main stream than others. The watch is 2012 and unworn. The movement is spectacular and the watch seems to work perfectly, just as my upside down always has.

Seems very unique in terms of how the relevant number comes together and arranges itself in the hour window at 12. The retrograde minutes is nicely balances the dial. The movement is nice, though finished in a spartan way. Would have loved to see more action there as well. Lovely choice Salman. Would be great if you can post a video of the jump-hour change.

Agreed on everything you said. Ludovic is such a gentleman and always a pleasure to talk to. I just got my upside down back after receiving a full spa by the maker himself, and I couldn’t have a better experience. Really glad to see he started getting the attention and recognition he deserves for his work!
