After starting here in late May last year - with a question on the Chrono One - I find myself (999 posts later) with a new hobby, many more watches and a slightly worried spouse (how many does one need - watches that is) and a wishlist for many, many years to come wink

I thought the appropriate piece for the day should be the ABR - arguably THE community watch (or put differently, the only one I have) biggrin

I have found the place to be very welcoming, informative, enjoyable and easygoing and the community to be a model for how those things should be and be run.

So to many more watches (and probably some more posts from my side) wink

Let's also see if my photographic skills improve by post 2000 wink

No...the watch is a production piece but the strap was a prototype

My watch is a production PuristS ABR with special meaning number, of course! Many people complained that the Mk I strap was difficult to put on single handed and the buckle hurts some people. Listening to PuristS feedback, St Gallen has made silicon rubber strap Mk II with new buckle. The prototype strap was orange. Mk Ii silicon rubber strap prototype Comfort, Ease and Security

Definitely looks different

From mine. Is the one with the black plastic clasp the Mk. I?

There have been 2 clasps and 1 "button" versions

The black plastic clasp is only for the limited edition Red strap for PuristS; a beta test version. The black metal clasp is regular production version for all old St Gallen Mk I straps. The "button" metal fastener is the Mk II strap version. Regards, MTF
