Since I was a little kid I was drawn to this dial and I guess pocket watches in general, because wrist watches didn't seem to use it. But the elegant simplicity of this type of dial always stuck with me.

Now years later it still makes my heart flutter to see this style of wrist watch over any other design.

When I first saw Peter Speake-Marin's Piccadilly (later changed to Resilence) it immediately became my grail and I was able to buy one a couple of years ago. Actually the very watch they used in their ads. The Oct  15th, 2012 article in the independent forum shows my watch. (Don't know how to post a link).

There are a lot of watchmakers that use this style, Glashutte has one, Lange has one, Dufour has one, Moritz Grossmann has one.....

SHOW US YOUR VERSION OF THIS ICONIC STYLE.

A convertible Elgin from 1879 with a vitreous enamel dial. The case is engine turned guilloche. The hands are blued to purple perfection.

Including the hands... And as wrist watch, this one is also very close, the enamel dial is not bad also...

Hope you are keeping well. The Lang & Heyne remains one of my favourite watches.
