Dear PuristS,

Please join me in a vote of thanks and raise your glass to Dr Thomas Mao for WFED and other fora on ThePuristS website that closed yesterday.

It is still archived for reference reading.

(Please note:

the original Audemars Piguet forum, the first internet high horology brand focused forum in the world that started with the recognition and blessing of the brand management itself, while remaining completely independent;

as well as

Automotive | Pen & Writing Instruments | Travel | Wine, Food, other Epicurean Delights

are now read only.

Belles Lettres | Photography and Camera equipment |

continue to be active, though they require separate log in to participate.

ThePuristS.com will continue to serve as an archival resource and hopefully a reference standard for many, many years to come.)

CLARIFICATION:  Photography and Belles Lettres fora still open on ThePuristS website.

Many of us started on ThePuristS.  In my case, first as a lurker...then a tyro poster....junior moderator and now, executive on PuristSPro.  The journey continues on fora here but I will still be nostalgic for AP, Travel and WFED (Wine Food & other Epicurean Delights).

Like Thomas, we will all still be here...........

Regards,

MTF

... I could withdraw anytime I needed some recreation, or just the friendship of colleagues spread over the world. While my new home is PuristSPro, no new home can be as cosy and important as the first home. I know the spirit of thePuristS lives on at PuristSPro, but I will miss it nonetheless ... Thanks, Thomas, for your work, and for being yourself! Regards, Marcus

ThePurists was the first forum I ever got involved in, and I had some wonderful times there. Things move on, but it'll still have a special place for me. nick
