Your friends may already of heard about it since it received quite a lot of publicity in December when the exhibition opened. Tom Hanks was over here publicising it on TV and in the press.
I saw an interview with Tom Hanks and he was asked why Moonwalkers was being shown in London and he explained that it was purely because of this venue and its audio visual system, but I imagine there must be something like it in the US, e.g. the Sphere venue in Las Vegas - which looks amazing.
Looking at the moon footage with some VR might be another great option.
And his his celebrity circles, that is really saying something.
