Penfriend's original post critically examines the Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight 925, specifically addressing Tudor's claims regarding the tarnish resistance of its silver alloy case. His observations, based on a watch exposed to the harsh conditions of the Canary Islands, provide a crucial real-world test for collectors considering this unique reference. This article synthesizes community insights on the material properties and aesthetic evolution of the BB58 925.

Some will like the patina, some won’t
I like the look! Kent
anyhow I would not want to polish the bezel....
is where I live and mine hardly wear, it is tarnished now. By Dec will there be more even ?
as I find it too dull/grey for my taste
Thanks sharing this, I recently went and tried this watch and liked it so much with its great colour and size, that I put myself on the list for this (waiting lists for Tudor maybe being a side topic 🤔). However, given I discussed the patina aspect but was told no patina due to the special treatment, IMO it would be better to just say it’ll probably get patina, after all patina can add character, but it’s not to everyone’s taste, and for those who don’t want it there is still great ss versions.
