Hi folks! I am new to this site and this is my first post.  Just awhile ago, I was thinking of getting a chronograph and was deciding between a Tudor BB Chrono or the Hamilton Intra-matic 68 LE.

I was all set to go for the BB Chrono.  But just a few days before I went down to the AD to place my deposit for the piece, a friend contacted me to inform that he has just bought two pieces of BB Bronze and asked if I want to have one for a great price. I was sceptical initially as I am not really into big watches and I always thought BB and Sub is too similar for me to want to have both in my small rotation. So I asked him to give me one day to consider and I did my research. After one whole day of deliberating, I came to the conclusion that the look of the three-handed BB is more iconic and classic than the BB Chrono. The BB Bronze is even more unique than the normal BB as it is the first bronze watch from Tudor and the dial features the 3 6 9 numerals which is only present in a Rolex Explorer 1 and never in any other Tudors. Therefore I decided to take a gamble on the BB Bronze even though I have never tried it in the metal before and it is a watch which I never even considered previously. My thought is what can go wrong? At most if it is really not suitable, i will lose abit of money if I sell it off.

So here I am after two weeks of ownership, I have to say I am a happy BB owner now and my thought is I should have jumped into the BB wagon sooner rather than later. The BBBronze really punches far above its price-point and to me offers significant value for money to other watches in its class, the Tudor in-house movement is keeping incredible time as well and mine averages around +2 secs a day. The gold bronze case with its brown bezel and chocolate dial are a killer combination and I cannot help but admire the watch whenever its on my wrist. I have been wearing it for more than a week already and it has really gel with me.

Initially I thought the BBBronze might be perfect if it is 41mm instead of 43mm. However now I feel it is perfect in his current 43mm form as the bigger size gives it an impressive aura and wrist presence which might not be so apparent if it is slightly smaller. It is not a subtle watch which you want to hide under your shirt cuff but rather something which you want to wear and show people you are wearing it, this watch is kick-ass yet at the same time it has the classic BB look which many loves.

I am glad i made the right choice this time! And I look forward to giving the BBBronze the wrist time it deserves and also seeing the patina forms in its life journey with me.

I might still get the BB Chrono one day but right now I just want to enjoy my time with my BBBronze! Below are some pics taken of the BBBronze in the past two weeks.

You are right, the Bronze BB "punches above its weight". Here's mine saying hello from Singapore. Best, Horo

You got a something unique with the bronze BB. It seems also it was the one calling out to you the most. I can see the reflection of your smile on the dial. Enjoy. Bill
