When I purchased the Tudor Black Bay Steel + Gold two weeks ago, a major factor in my immediate fascination for that watch came from the pre-aged leather strap that perfectly matched the matte golden elements of the case itself.

Unfortunately, it was rather short, so I decided to order one in XL, which will take its time to arrive, unfortunately.

Packed in the watch box also came a very nice NATO strap:

This, too, is suffering from the length issue, but I did not order a longer original strap, since the after market offers ample alternatives. Just recently, my order of nylon/textile straps arrived, and I would like to present to you various Black Bay outfits. How do you like them? Would you pick one of them (or several) yourself?

First combo we are presented by our gorgeous model "Golden Blacky" is a sporty sand-coloured textile strap:

Then comes the same, but in chocolate brown - yummy!

This one ... ahem .... has smuggled itself into the show. Normally it belongs on a Breitling Chronomat:

A bit more audacious is this colourful striper - ladies will love it!

Last, but not least: a classically NATO-tailored "mud" strap:

It is not really a recipe for slim appearance, but classics follow their own rules:

So do you have a favourite here?

Marcus

NATO mud strap looks good and the stripe is a classic. Thanks for the fashion show !

... I specially love the sand color canvas and the Bond Nato which I usually wear in my own BB black bezel. The weathered leather original band is a nice option as well -once you get the proper measure for your wrist- though I personally donΒ΄t feel very comfortable with deployants in my watches and prefer the traditional ardillon best. Keep enjoying your beautiful BB Marcus! All the best, Abel.

Marcus, I like this combination as the gold highlights are mirrored on the strap. Regards, MTF Tudor Black Bay steel-gold

Together with the reactions I had in a Swiss German forum, the winner is absolutely clear: the sand-coloured textile strap is the most popular choice, followed by the Bond NATO, nearly ex aequo with the black Breitling-migrant. Absolutely nobody opted for the chocolate-brown strap. Well, this had looked a bit different on the website I purchased the straps from, but I will store it in my strap box, where it will wait for another watch with 22mm lugs; maybe something with a white dial? Personally
