The first time I saw it on his wrist, I was a little disappointed and asked him: whay not a Rolex at this point? His answer was too much money for the use I intend this watch to have and the discussion stopped

This until yesterday when a strong heart attack brought away from my life my hero, my dad, the person I knew I can count on every day, hour, minute for an advice or a laugh or a simple phone call... when I arrived after driving 300km, my lovely dad was not there anymore, didn’t say hallo, didn’t make one of his funny jokes... didn’t even open his eyes or move one of his hands... he was dead, but he was wearing his little Tudor I didn’t like so much many years before...

When preparing him for the funeral someone asked me, what would you want to do with the watch?

I took it and immediately took off mine to wear it, I think it will be on my wrist a long and I will look at it not to admire it, as with some other piece I have in my humble collection, nor to read the hours, but only to remember the great man and father he was

Addio papà, I know you’ll continue to care about me and my family wherever you’re now, but in the same time I will have you still close to me...

Luca
