Marcus Hanke's original post sparked a vital discussion for the WatchProSite community: where should Tudor content reside? As Tudor increasingly distinguishes itself with unique movements and design directions, Hanke's inquiry into its forum placement highlights the brand's evolving identity and growing collector interest. This article synthesizes the community's perspective on Tudor's independence and its rightful place within our horological discussions.
Tudor is still a full-fledged subsidiary company of Rolex.
But now if the question is how we perceive Tudor, I would say that it'd deserve a proper forum. We have many fans of the Black Bays and of Vintage Tudor. Enough to justify a dedicated forum. Best, Nicolas
IF there is a dedicated subforum!
…they are putting out so many interesting watches in the last few years that they deserve it. I think the current Tudor product is very different to the direction Rolex is moving. Should I?….hmmm ….. very tempted.
Ive put my name on an FXD but after that one the silver is a serious candidate for the next one. It needs a better strap but thats the usual fun to play with. I think as an elegant everyday piece. lets see how it goes ;-)
... was if we should post our Tudor comments and pics here, in Horological Meandering, instead of the Rolex subforum, where the Tudors seem to be lost a bit. If the Tudor traffic justifies an own subforum? I doubt that - now. But with the right motivation and Tudor fans, who knows? Marcus
