GLau's 2016 post critically assesses Ulysse Nardin's enamel dial releases, specifically the Year of the Goat and Year of the Monkey watches. He raises concerns about their aesthetic appeal and market reception, prompting a community discussion on the brand's artistic direction and craftsmanship in its cloisonné enamel series.

pick up its game and ask for advice from its customers like yours truly !

AD told me for the year of the goat, these watches were on consignment only because they did not want to buy them for inventory. Smart move because nobody has bought.

Saw the Monkey in the metal. Although the details in the banana leaves are good, the dial has fewer colors than its predecessors, and the monkey does not have alluring enamel colors like dragon, snake and horses.

Your thoughts ?

Cheers,

Gordon

Totally agree with you Gordon. Absolutely no comparison with the others. I would argue that UN just chose the wrong monkey model. They needed to hire a more colorful one. Guess the model agency was short on others.

Your set is crazy beautiful though. Cheers Mitch
