Was offered I think from 2017 to 2019. I got from boutique in early 2020 as "the last" available in N America. Who knows I have heard that before 🤣
It is interesting how designs which were once a commercial failure can look so good years later ... I think this is a good example, together with early Roger Dubui, Daniel Roth etc
The introduction of this line was quite a failure. If I recall correctly, trying to have counterfeiting strategies, all rare metals (gold, ti, palladium), user selected combination of dial and case metals, and very expensive. It was a big failure. When they revamped the line around 2015-ish, to all steel with white and black dials, it changed the quai de l'ile line. For me, this is epitome sport VC. Way back, when VC released the Quai de I’lle, I always thought the idea of selecting components to create your own design was intriguing. I remember seeing Rose Gold and Titanium combination cases that looked outstanding. I think the model and the “design your own watch” concept was ahead of it’s time and a departure from the standard VC fare. Might have confused the audience.
