Ialienam_AUS's acquisition of the Vacheron Constantin Cornes de Vache in pink gold offers a timely reflection on the enduring appeal of heritage-inspired chronographs. His decision, made just before the release of a stainless steel version, underscores the personal connection collectors often have with specific metals and designs. This post and its subsequent discussion delve into why this particular reference holds such significance in the landscape of manual-wind chronographs.

I asked about CDV last year and so I pulled the trigger. The funny thing was I had the deal confirmed just hours before the release of stainless steel (deposit was yet to be made). But again I felt pink gold was the one and never regret the decision.

I truly believe it’s one of the best manual Chrono stays true to “heritage” and one of the best valued (Such a shame that AP makes Remaster at 40mm and not a manual Chrono).

Too bad my photo doesn’t do any justice to this beauty

I would take this one also by its horns

You picked the best version. Yes,, white metal is also very cool but such a piece has to be in a coloured metal.

Steel, gold or platinum, it is a very nice chronograph you have here. No time for regrets, just time to enjoy it, totally. Bravo! [nt]

Completely agree

This watch in all 3 metals is equally fantastic, each in its own unique way. Just a superb watch. Enjoy.
