Nicolas (amanico) shares an exquisite look at the Vacheron Constantin Perpetual Calendar Skeleton in platinum, a timepiece he considers a potential future acquisition. His initial photos highlight the intricate skeletonization and refined 36mm case, inviting the community to appreciate its horological artistry. This article delves into the aesthetic and technical nuances that make this reference a true jewel in Vacheron Constantin's esteemed lineage.

36 mm of pure refinement. The case, the bezel, the lugs, and the skeleton dial!!!

I will post more pictures of it as soon as I can, but for the moment, here are two first pictures:

Not mine, alas, but  this one could well be in my collection, one day...

Best,

Nicolas

These skeletons are haunting

...the sub-dials are all quite readable. Quibbles: maybe blue the hour and minute hands for contrast (I personally would do them in yellow gold)...and VC's leap year solution is not ideal...

OK readability is not top but seeing a small hand turning in 4 years must be quite a philosophical experience

...that doesn't mean it's the best way to do it. PP handles this quite well IMHO...look at the 3940 for reference.

This could be the definite anti Apple Watch. An unusual, utterly useless statement of class end elegance. What we lack in this world... HAGWE! Daniel

Looks like it's in great shape as well assuming it's an older model!
