In a playful yet insightful post, forum member Tick Talk explores the unique relationship between luxury watch brands and their community 'influencers.' Tick Talk humorously showcases Vacheron Constantin-branded 'swag'—scented candles—to highlight the often-unseen marketing efforts and the aspirational connection collectors feel with their favorite manufactures. This piece offers a lighthearted look at brand engagement, prompting readers to consider the subtle ways brands foster loyalty and recognition.
Its not a secret that "influencers" are given swag by the Manufactures on the understanding they showcase this stuff in exciting situations and romantic locations. As it was just another covid day and I'm bored, I took to cleaning the closet. And what did I find? Why, swag that had not been showcased and thusly jeopardized my standing as a VC "influencer". I need to correct this, for surely it is the reason that, after receiving all the previous volumes of Collector's Island, I found myself passed over for the last edition.
So, cue the violins! Today, on this episode of VC & Me, I sit down to enjoy these romantic, and beautifully branded, scented candles.
Well, the venue maybe isn't all that exciting, but it is private unless the grandkids are around. And it provides a needed break from too much together-time with my lovely spouse (she assures me the feeling is mutual). I just need to sit down and think things out, plan the next move, push it to the limit, and be one of not many.

Hmmmm delish, loving that scent of vanilla with slight coffee tones and perhaps a hint of last night's curries. So what do you say anonymous marketing machine at VC Hour Club, can I get back on the list of influencers? Will you send me No. 7 of Collector's Island?
