Cazalea takes readers on an imaginative journey, blending sci-fi metaphors with the horological marvels of Vianney Halter. His post captures the ethereal experience of encountering the Deep Space Tourbillon and other unique Halter creations, making a 2016 event feel fresh and engaging for new enthusiasts.

Last night we went on a voyage of discovery through time and space, on the starship Enterprise ... I mean I tried on the Deep Space Tourbillon.

Amazingly, my wife is mesmerized when she sees it on my wrist. Even more exciting, her first word was not NO, but "That's incredible - how does it work?"

No matter how many times you look closely, you can't understand what is going on in there! Perhaps if Scotty were here, he could explain.

It's easy to see the time is 6:20. The 46mm titanium-cased watch is very light, comfortable to wear, and it just doesn't feel like anything is on your wrist.

There might be a force-field around this watch that causes an anti-gravity effect when you wear it.

It even fits properly on small, delicate wrists, as you can see below.
Apparently it also functions as a time/space transporter device, projecting a very realistic hologram of the watch's creator right into our presence.

I blinked a couple of times and the Vianney hologram faded away. I turned my attention away from her wrist towards a mysterious quartz kinetic Halter, known as the Grand Voyageur:

and compared the mystery rotors shared by Halter watches and the Swatch Sistem 51.
In this picture you cannot see the dilithium crystals, but we were assured they were inside and functioning.

It was an exceptional evening of fine food, excellent wine, lovely women, and a small group of sci-fi loving watch geeks.
One of our group brought a Star Trek galaxy navigation and time device - How is it I have been in the presence of the owners of two sets of platinum Trilogy of Time? ... in just the last month or so.

While I was gaping at the watches, the rest of the group chatted as if it were an ordinary evening.

Then someone switched the hologram device back on and a virtual Vianney rejoined us. He brought a couple books and a pen to autograph them.

I don't see how the hologram emanates from the watch. Do you?

I think last evening was probably all a dream, and not real at all. Everything is so fuzzy now... was it the French wine, the French talk, the Swiss watches?

but here on my bedside table is some evidence that it just might have happened...

It truly was an excellent evening full of wonderful time pieces and Bon Homie. (Did I get the French right?) Who knew we would share so many non-horological interests as well?! I do look forward to another get together.

Thank you for the wonderfully funny and Star Trek referenced post to this Vianny Halter timepiece.

Sorry I only seemed to get pictures of your arm and watch. I know you were in one photo - perhaps reflecting in the mirror, or you were in a different space-time continuum and the camera couldn't capture your image. Cheers
