Amanico introduces a vintage Vulcain Nautical from a friend's collection, highlighting its legendary status as the first compressor case diving watch with an alarm, predating the Polaris. He details its historical significance, unique features like the decompression scale, and his personal quest to acquire it and restore its hands.

Without you uncovering and presenting all of these interesting timepieces I for one would certainly have a lot less exposure to and knowledge of such a wonderful array of watches. I really appreciate what you do, and hope you keep showing your own collection, as well as those watches outside of your collection which you come across, in whatever way you come across them. Looking forward to seeing some of your great collection at a GTC some time soon All the best, Niall
They seem to match the shape and design of the hands on my 2011 Nautical Trophy reissue, although mine have a too-wide lume strip: (The hobnail bezel is new on this model.) Ano “More Vulcain Crickets, please” Nuevo
For all your efforts & passion to share information regarding horology through this forum. I really really appreciate it! Your posts have been the source of information & inspiration for me. So, please keep sharing all those lovely pics & reviews, as you're the master of it and this vintage Vulcain is very cool, really like the dial. hope you can accomplished mission no. 1 in very near future cheers
I know it's not my business at all...but what's going on last couple of days is beyond me. You claim it's your friends watch but that very same watch was for years in your collection You showed it to us on many GTGs. You said to many of us it is yours but now it's from your friend collection!!??? Well anyway all has gone down the drain anyway. D
Since they are linked to the same movement. I just have to remove the luminova and replace it with tritium, and it will look much better than it is right now. Even if it is not very orthodox... But it will help me to wait for a set of proper hands, which will be suuuuuper long. Now I have to convince the owner to give it back to me. Sometimes, feeling the miss helps us to better understand our feelings. And how much love we have for things or people. Best, Nicolas
From another friend, who found them, from what he told me, in Italy. His watch had the very same problem than my ex mine.
