India Whiskey Charlie's post sparks a timeless debate among collectors: the necessity and aesthetic impact of the date window on a watch dial. His initial reaction to a specific model, which he felt was 'spoiled' by its date display, resonates with many who prioritize dial symmetry and purity. This discussion explores whether the date complication, ubiquitous in modern life, still holds its place on a luxury timepiece.

It seems like an antiquated idea. With phones and tablets and computers the date doesn't seem so difficult. Definitely runs the piece.

Looking at the full range of this model they do offer a no-date small seconds version of this watch...albeit smaller (26.10 x 42)...and quartz... (pic from )
