"A pair of gun-toting, moped-riding robbers stole a man’s $100,000 watch outside Manhattan hotspot Carbone Tuesday night, according to police and sources. The duo walked up to the 39-year-old victim outside the Greenwich Village restaurant at around 8:45 p.m. and pressed a black firearm to his chest while demanding the Patek Philippe watch off his wrist, police and law enforcement sources said. The thieves took the pricey jewelry and hopped on a moped, which they drove north on Thompson Street,
getting robbed (of my watch) is one of my least concerns here in rural Austria. Much more likely to get run over by a tractor driven by a drunk farmer than getting mugged over here...
Does anyone suspect that these theives scouted the clientele and minitored what they were wearing beforehand? Or could it have been an "inside job" and a restaurant staff member informed the 2 robbers of what was on the victim's wrist? I mean, just a casual by-chance moped ride targeting some dude coming out of a restaurant? And the robbers win big time, stealing a PP? These thieves might have gotten an Apple watch if they hand't scouted or hadn't been informed beforehand, IMO.
Something they can quickly sell. I’m certain it wasn’t a 3970!
Where there’s no crime and your best watch is average … 😝😁🤪
