Timeout, a seasoned collector, shares his annual ritual of refreshing his luxury timepieces for summer wear. His detailed account of strap selections from esteemed makers like Camille Fournet and Nostime, paired with his insights on material choices and manufacturer practices, offers valuable guidance for WatchProSite readers looking to optimize their own collections for warmer months. This post highlights the practical considerations and aesthetic enhancements that come with thoughtful strap changes.

I spent the morning changing out the straps on some of the watches I’m planning on wearing this summer. The after market straps for the Duometre, Langes and DB came from Camille Fournet, mostly Taurillon calf and all have caoutchouc linings. The strap for the FPJ perpetual came from Nostime and is the shipping strap they are using in some markets. I usually keep the FPJ CS on a darker brown strap over the winter months so this is now back on its original strap. The Moser is on the ubiquitous kudu strap which contrasts with the mat carbon alligator that came with the watch. The strap for the GMT-6 is an OEM strap which adds a pop of color compared to the brown and black alligator straps that came with the watch.
