An admission: I tried to conjure up some elegant prose and amazing photography with which to trumpet the posting of ol' no. 3000. The task proved impossible!

Let me leave it at this: it is an honor to participate with all of you here. Your horological knowledge never ceases to amaze me. Your photographic skills and your ability to spin a yarn constantly impress me. You have created a completely fun and cool place to share a common passion. You make me smile at the end of a long day, you take me with you to far away lands, you help me imagine what it feels like to drive (or even to design) luxurious supercars, you take me inside the most complicated movements, and you have lead to me admire the incredible beauty of the simplest. We have shared joys and sorrows, and mostly camaraderie.
