In a poignant post from 2021, Cpt Scarlet rallied the WatchProSite community to show solidarity with the crew of the KRI Nanggala-402, an Indonesian submarine that tragically disappeared. This article revisits Cpt Scarlet's call to action, highlighting how the community responded by sharing their dive watches and offering prayers during a critical search and rescue operation. It underscores the deep human connection that often transcends the horological passion shared among collectors.

Indonesia's navy and several others are racing to find the Submarine KRI Nanggala-402 after it disappeared.
It is estimated that the crew of 53 have just 72 hours of air remaining.
Please join with me in saying a prayer for the crew and showing your Submariners and dive watches in solidarity.

. . . some twenty years ago and Americans almost sixty were the best and bravest. God speed to the Indonesian submariners. Art

At least in a live firefight, there's no time to think. God Bless these brave souls.

...I have a very good friend who piloted a submarine for many years...it can seem routine these days but it is still dangerous...prayers and best of luck : )

It is scary that the crew is in trouble. My Seamaster is with them. Not a submariner, cause an Omega guy like me can not switch to another brand. Love the sea, i love boats and ships.
