Forum member m2 initiates a compelling discussion around the Zenith Academy Georges Favre-Jacot, a reference featuring the intricate fusee and chain mechanism. This thread explores the watch's perceived value, its unique horological features, and practical considerations for potential owners. m2's inquiry highlights the appeal of acquiring such a complex mechanism from a major brand at a significant discount from its original MSRP.

Does anyone own this watch with the fusee and chain? They trade at a huge discount from the original MSRP, and seem like a lot of watch for the money. In particular I love the idea of getting a visible fusee and chain mechanism from a major brand for a very reasonable amount...

A few things I'm curious about:

1. How is the sizing of the TI model (pic attached)? Does it wear big or small?
2. Any issues with reliability?

Try THAT on a Breguet Tradition or Lange Pour la Merite!

For less than the price of a standard Royal oak and only ~$8k more than what a daytona goes for, it seems like a very overlooked reference lol

Don't recall seeing it beforehand whatsoever! Cheers, Filip

Still, I can’t help but think of the possibilities of this watch if you let Rexhep (or whoever you regard as having a high level of taste) design the dial, hands and case.
