An established, historic brand partners with a current independent watchmaker to restore one of its old calibers, and then sells whatever comes out of it exclusively via an auction house....The Purist in me feels that he's missing something! ;-))

I was on the line with Bill Sohne, our first Omega forum moderator, just . . .

. . . a little while ago, Fab. He was at a Zenith event in NYC earlier this week, and got to speak with a manufacturer rep about the limited edition. Both images are courtesy Bill S; that's his wrist in the top photo. The critical piece of information missing from Monochrome's article is that the ten (actually eleven - the example in the photo is a steel-cased prototype) pieces are fitted with cal 135 movements that were used in chronometry trials.
