Watches4ever recounts his acquisition of the Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special Bronze at Zenith's 2015 releases launch party, marking his first Zenith watch. This post captures the excitement of a new acquisition and offers a comparative wristshot with a Panerai PAM507, highlighting the unique appeal of bronze casing.

The Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Power Reserve Automatic Bronzo, reference PAM507, is a special edition timepiece known for its bronze case. This model is part of the Luminor 1950 collection, characterized by its cushion-shaped case and patented crown protection device. It features a robust construction designed for diving.
This watch is equipped with the in-house Panerai Calibre P.9002, an automatic mechanical movement providing a three-day power reserve. The case measures 47mm in diameter and is water-resistant to 300 meters, protected by a 2.9mm thick sapphire crystal. The bronze bezel is brushed, complementing the case material.
The PAM507 is notable for its bronze material, which develops a unique patina over time, making each piece distinct to its owner. Its substantial size and distinctive aesthetic appeal to collectors interested in robust, tool-inspired watches with a unique material character.
and the same applies to your post - thus selected as 'Editor's Pick'. MARVELLOUS on your wrist, with quite a different tint than the Panerai. How old is that? Cheers and have a great weekend, Magnus
Zenith pilot bronze, I wonder how it has aged over the past one year. Any picture to share? Thanks.
I tend to get itchiness with my Panerai and as well as my GG gefica hence to avoid the contact with skin completely I opted for the special strap. Do post nice wrist shot and I will send you pics of the strap Best ,
