Ambos's post captures the excitement of an unexpected acquisition: the 40mm Zenith Montre d'aeronef Type 20. This article showcases the watch's distinctive blue grainy fume dial and 'used gun metal' case, emphasizing its wearable size. Ambos's detailed photographs highlight the subtle design elements, such as the numerals being inserts, making this a compelling review for collectors.

Stumbled at my AD over this year’s Montre d’aeronef Type 20 40mm and was immediately drawn in by the blue grainy fume dial combined with the ‘used gun metal’ case. And finally a very wearable size for this case shape! Also, it’s quite hard to spot that the numerals are inserts in the dial...
This time it’s really ‘Extra Special’!

Thanks for watching and a good weekend ahead!

This is a very nice one. The burgundy one is also quite attractive.

Those are some great shots! I saw the khaki dial last week: The slate grey dial is on my list. Enjoy your "Extra Special" Pilot watch. Mark

I do like the smaller case, and the design overall is quite striking.
