I'm a runaway British citizen who lived for a short while in Balsall Heath....yes, I am Chinese and the whitest guy living there at the time! I used to wonder why all my neighbours' favourite table lampshade colour was red and they left the lamp switched on, in the front bay window, showing through a gap in the curtains. We know that the heart of British industrial watch making was in Birmingha

I know your post was intended as 'tongue in check' but it's really surprising to see such an offensive and arguably racism comment from a senior Purists figure. Birmingham is the UK's second city so why wouldn't there be plenty of watch fans???!!!!
