Friends,

A couple of weeks ago GP sent the press release of the Vintage 1945 Lady in brown.

[Press shot]

At BaselWorld I had the chance to see this one in real. Beautiful “chocolate mousse with sprinkles of diamonds"!

My shots do not make this beauty justice. The dial is much more lively and ambient in real. In the photos you don’t really see the two-tone in the dial.

The area inside the diamonds on the dial is actually a bit darker than the area outside the diamonds…

You may hint the differences in this photo.

This delicate ladies watch is 28,20 x 27,86 mm in steel. The dial is actually much more lively than it shows here. Guess after a few hundred shots, I was a bit out of my game…

The applied numerals and the diamonds on the dial make this one glow! The two rows of brilliant cut diamonds on the bezel adds just enough bling to make the watch perfect for both everyday use and for party!

Inside is the automatic GP02700 movement. Open case back to show the very nicely decorated rotor.

Is brown the new black?

Nice shots. The brown dial is very nice. But the date...  No message body

Ladies love date! ;) Here I find the date window in good balance with the numbers, so I don't mind... But yes, might be even better without the date window. Best Blomman

What does that mean? That they often forget the day we are? ;)

Well in my experience.... Each time I have asked a lady for a date - her reply has always been: "I would love to..."! So, my conclusion - ladies love date! ;) Best Blomman

Very nice look.  The curved case has nice feminine lines. The brown has a very regal look and diamonds for the ladies are always welcome. Thanks Bill

Friends, It is my great pleasure to present to you the third part of this “Vintage GP journey, Summer Edition”. For those of you who don’t know the reference GP 8846 N, the number refers to the first generation of Girard-Perregaux Olimpico chronograph. According to my contact at the Manufacture, the idea for the Olimpico chronograph came from one of the GP Agents in Mexico at that time, Guido de Angelis, who saw an opportunity to sell more watches during the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games.
