A few pictures taken at the GO boutique in Paris

I attented a very nice cocktail this evening at the GO boutique in Paris. The boutique may be small, it is always a pleasure to meet the team and to discover the latest deliveries. Of course, as I was expecting it, the Baselworld novelties were not available but a few days after the crazy week in Switzerland, it was good to have a reminder about the key pieces of the past collections.

I propose to browse a few pics taken during the event.

The case displays of the boutique:

A close-up of the PanoMatic Inverse dial:

This watch is really spectacular even if I find it a bit too large: I'm not a fan of the gap between the double swan-necks and the bezel. But the way the regulating organ is highlighted and the decoration style of the dial are seducing. The case diameter is 42mm.

I'm a fan of the Sixties especially with this blue dial and without the date. I like the design of the figures inspired by the original watch, the shape of the dial and the right size (39mm) for this kind of piece. It embodies a style which is not too formal what makes it very versatile.

The PanoLunar Tourbillon is one of my fav pieces of the collection. I like this blend between a slow complication (moonphase) and a quick one (tourbillon). The Tourbillon itself is really mesmerizing. The 40mm case has the right size for my taste: not too large (the lower zone would be too empty), not too small (the different displays need space to "breathe"). A watch I highly appreciate.

The Senator Chronograph Panorama Date combines a chronograph with a hours counter, a large date and a shy power reserve indicator which doesn't disturb the organization of the dial. It is a well balanced watch with a 42mm diameter. But I have to confess that the finishings of the movement 37-01 didn't meet my expectations even if it has a nice lay-out.

The Senator Diary was created for the people who arte very organized! Can you imagine that you can set the alarm up to 30 days ahead! The sound signal lasts 80 seconds which can be enough even for the hard sleepers! The case diameter is 42mm. The SS version seen below has a more contemporary design than the PG watch and I much prefer this type of design with a dark dial.

The PanoMaticCounter XL is one of the most interesting watches of the collection thanks to its unusual mechanical additional feature: the counter which can go forwards or backwards. Of course, the 44mm case is not suitable to all wrists but the dark dial and its multi-layered structure  reduce the feeling of size and make the watch very attractive with a bold design. The thickness (16mm) was a bit more problematic for me.

I would like to thank the Glashutte Original Team for the warm welcome and the organization of the cocktail.

Thanks for the pics. I had always been curious, with the Panomatic Counter. Have to see if the sizev is not problematic, though. Very original. Best, Nicolas

Thanks Nicolas. At least the size is coherent with the style of the watch. And I love this feeling of depth on the dial. Fx

Informative and lovely photos. Thx for posting! Wow, GO certainly lives up to the "Original" portion of its name with the Counter, the 30-day alarm and the Inverse dial! Unusual and intriguing. I've been vacillating for 10 months between another Reverso or the PanoInverse XL. A.N.

Thanks Ano Nuevo and so what was your decision?

My decision? Still vacillating! As stunning as the GO PanoInverse XL is, I wonder if I'd grow tired of its, shall we say, extreme styling. Either the Reverso Rouge or the Duo Date is more classic and timeless in style. And I love my TT 1931 US Edition --- I'd wanted a Reverso since I wa...

Will you take me there . . . . . . when I come to visit Paris later this year, FX? :-) Many thanks for the lovely images, especially of the blue Senator Sixties, which I've never been able to adequately capture. Gratefully, Art

With pleasure Art! But don't come with 12 friends, the boutique is small! ;) Fx
