Hublot Sang Bleu Titanium Pave - (Ref: 415.NX.1112.VR.1704.MXM17)

andrewluff
Well it is Friday and what better way to celebrate the end of the working week than with a bit of sparkle!!

Before I get a lot of abuse... I am really not (normally) a fan of bling watches, however I really could see myself wearing this.  I think the diamonds (388 in total and just over 2.5 carats) set into the geometric case and bezel work better in the Sang Bleu than the other gem set Big Bangs, it looks far more masculine and angular.  The case is titanium as with the normal version, so it is very wearable and not too heavy on the wrist.  It is also an LE of 200 pieces, so on your sparkly night out you are unlikely to see another person wearing the same piece.

The question is: would I seriously put my hard earned cash down on this piece, probably not, but it is still fun to try on and I think is a great success.

none

There were 2 other Sang Bleu novelties presented during Geneva Watch Week, the All Black and King Gold version... I will come back to those soon.

Cheers
Andrew

wheras the all black is optically very appealing, if you are not dependent on identifying the actual time (which is nearly impossible)... ;-)

The black is actually still mirrored so is quite readable... I thought they would have gone all black which in my opinion would have been amazing but impossible to read the time. Cheers Andrew

No sir, had it on my wrist. Great design, impossible to read the time! ;-)

The one I tried on... was the same mirrored geometric shapes as the others... sometime you need to tilt it to see the polish. This was the ceramic one they showed me: But its true that the little lume triangles are now black so don't stand out as much. Cheers Andrew ...

Perhaps Mathias could magically create some orange diamonds! ...then it would be all you!
andrewluff February 3rd, 2017-12:52
Unfortunately he cannot perform magic this time as orange ones already exist from South Africa (and maybe other places)... but they are super ££££. Maybe just a big orange diamond on the crown I could see you in one of these too.... Cheers Andrew

Hublot Unico Perpetual Calendar Sapphire (Ref: 406.JX.0120.RT)

OK, so its not a new case and its not a new movement... but putting them together produces something magical! This watch did not appear in any of the official novelty releases for Geneva Watch Week, so when it was handed over to me it was a total surprise, but what an amazing one. I am a big fan of the Unico and especially the Unico QP released last year (this was the first perpetual calendar produced by Hublot) and to me, the Magic Gold was the perfect version... until now! I will let the pictures do the talking (my apologies for the quality as due lost luggage my camera failed to arrive, so they are from my cellphone) And on the wrist...
