BaselWorld 2015 - MB&F

Ok guys, lets sit down.
I was really surprised by this.
It blew me over.

I have not been a real fan of the recent MB&F pieces.
They just didn't talk to me like the early ones did.
And this HM6 didn't look in the press releases I saw, like it was any different.

But then I saw it in the metal and strapped it on.

WOW !!!

Light as a feather, with sensuous curves, looking out through its portholes, the watch keeps you looking too.
With a titanium case held together by a strap around the middle that also holds the lugs the watch is very wearable.  Despite its large surface it comes across as small
on the arm, and fits without notice under a cuff.
You can wear it in stealth mode with just the two time portholes peaking out.
You can wear it on your sleeve and take it to see the world.

The tourbillon you almost don't register, the case forms grabbing your attention.
The second crown on the left that closes the shades over the tourbillon was probably  a requirement from some CEO so that he wasted less time looking at the tourbillon
after his experience with other models. But Ha!, it will not help with this one.
Even with the toubillon porthole closed, you gaze keeps coming back.

Compared to this, the other new things from MB&F I almost forgot.  The last version of the MegaWind HM3.  The new clock Melchior, again done together with l'Epée.  Take a look.

So if you are tired of just taking the dog out for a promenade around the block strap that HM6 on your arm.  That next walk with the dog will be around the galaxy (let's hope the dog knows the way home none ).

Congratulations to MB&F for their new HM6, my best of BaselWorld 2015.

" A creative adult is a child who survived ". I love this motto! Crazy Watch, for sure, now, to wear it is another thing. I guess that a mad designer, architect, or dee jay could! Best, Nicolas

+1 I see no reson why mad lawyer couldn't. Have you tried it on? Well if your bank account is important to you then don't. The watch is a dream on the wrist. Don

This is what MB&F is all about As every pieces which have a lot of character you may not like everything from Indies and especially futuristic and unusual objects from this brand. Personally, I like the LMs but saying this is a little bit coming back toward standard roots. When I saw t...

Wow! Very nice! And I love the motto too... "A Creative Adult Is A Child Who Survived." Melchior is awesome. Wow. Congratulations to MB&F! An amazing showing at Basel by MB&F. I have to agree Don, MB&F is my favorite of this year's Basel as well.

Rudis Sylva Oscillateur Harmonieux - the instantly compensating 'tourbillon'

Recent years have brought about a great deal of novel engineering tools and with them an abundance of watchmaking novelties. Multi-axis tourbillons anyone? Crazy constructions - no limits? It seems to me that many of those world firsts and revolutions somehow went into oblivion… Often it parers to me that the novelty factor was worn out faster than the makers could think. Few however persevered the stormy post-2008 years, and I'd like to report on one of those fascinating constructions: The Rudis Sylva Oscillateur ... .
