8 weeks in a row with Jaeger Lecoultre watches only. Or how important is Jaeger Lecoultre to me

And still counting!

A bit before the end of the lockdown in France, I started with the Amvox IIP.

Then, almost one month with 2 vintage I didn't wear for a while, the Deep Sea Alarm US and Europe.

The US:

none

none

The Europe:

none

none

And, now I am currently wearing the Duometre à Chronographe in white gold.

It is not a secret that I am a multi brand guy, with a bit more than 20 different brands in my collection, but Jaeger Lecoultre has the most important place in my heart and in number of watches.

There is something special behind each of these watches, a story, a long hunt, and a feeling which make them very unique, and which bring a lot of joy and happiness, not to say pride and intellectual satisfaction, also.

Am I saying that these four are my favorite? Hard to tell. I would prudently say that they are among my favorite, yes.

The Amvox IIP certainly is one of the coolest and most original modern chronograph.

none

The Duometre is, in my opinion, one of the finest modern chronograph, unique in its category with its dual wind concept.

none

The vintage Deep Sea Alarms? Well, they simply are among my top 10 favorite vintage watches, all brands included, with some other prestigious contenders ( Vintage Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, Rolex GMT MASTER 6542, Tudor submariner Big Crown 7924, Omega Seamaster 300 CK 2913 and Jaeger Lecoultre Geophysic E 168... Only heavy weights and holy grails! )

none

And I didn't even mention some other excellent Jaeger Lecoultre, such as, for example, the Master Minute Repeater, which will have some wrist time in July, or the Reverso Septantième in Platinum!

That means a lot about the importance of the brand in my heart, and about the incredible diversity of Jaeger Lecoultre.

And it is the same when I think of my wish / dream list... In my Top 30, there are at least 10 Jaeger Lecoultre I would love to get, one day, such as the Gyrotourbillon One, the Duometre Unique Travel Time, the Duometre à Quantième Lunaire White Gold Enamel, the Geophysic Universal Time, one of the two Reverso Red, the Memovox Black Dial manual winding, the Reverso Tribute Duo from 2016 with its superb white grained dial, The Extreme Lab I and II, and some other I wish they will see the light one day such as a Rattrapante...

The two Duometres which became an obsession for me:

none

none

A serious brand, blending tradition, originality, innovation and quality.

Best,

Nicolas

You really should. The big question is which one!

New Master calendar without the chrono (because it has a much more accurate moonphase Comparing to the calendar chrono) or the Tribute to deep sea. Like the Tribute but am afraid of buying from second hand. There is no piece aviable in my area, just many in france or the us

Well, on the accuracy of the moon phase, I am afraid anyone here will survive enough to check it. ;)

But its an intellectual version of showing your muscles. Its the yellow gold Rolex day date without the yg Rolex day date

Nicolas, both the Tribute to deep sea And the new master control calendar share the same price tag actually. Which would you choose as your first JLC?

The TT DSA. It is a Memovox. And it is the re edition of an icon. The Master Calendar is not a bad choice, either.

It is just my biased opinion, as I am a big fan of Alarm watches.

Here, to avoid any confusion, we will discuss and share some thoughts, informations and pictures about vintage Jaeger Chronographs, no Lecoultre nor Jaeger Lecoultre, just Jaeger signed chronographs. A precision, here. The Jaeger and Jaeger Lecoultre signed chronographs were issued for the European market, sometimes exclusively for France, while the Lecoultre badged ones were destined to the US market. Sometimes, you have the same model, badged Lecoultre or Jaeger Lecoultre, such as the E 2643 better known ...
