Omega Speedmaster " RAID " Limited Edition.

The idea was to work from a normal / regular Speedmaster and to personalize it.
9 months after, the first watches landed.
Most of the watches will be delivered to the RAID, and only a few will be available for sale.
As you can see, the seconds, the chronograph minutes and central seconds hands received a special treatment as they were painted in blue and red, and in blue white and red, the colors of the french flag.
The case back bears the motto of the RAID " To serve without Failing " and the medallion of this police department.
The watch comes with the famous steel bracelet, and a Blue White and Red Nato, plus another black one.
The packaging comes with the medallion on the top.
As you can see, it is a limited edition of 250 pieces.
What is your opinion on that Speedmaster?

Funny, that is the detail which is a bit too much for me. A deal breaker, though? Not sure.

It's nice touch with the colors of France's flag B&R I think did something too for RAID? Maybe if the steel was treated into gun metal or darker tone, it'd be a killer!

This one looks good. The small bits of color are a welcome addition to the dial.

Mmm ... I wonder, did RAID commission it or did SWATCH 'provide' it? Whatever, it's just another 'special edition' Speedie - a good watch with odd hands & writing on the back. No message body

Ultraman - This or that?

Its amazing to think there are 50 years between the 2 of these Ultramen and yet side by side they seem like brothers (rather than father and son). I think they really did a great job with the Speedie Tuesday Ultraman, but in my mind the original holds the edge... even with all its battle scars from wearing over the years. Cheers Andrew .
