Team,
The games, that starts today among a major political and economical crisis, requires some form of celebration.
Here's mine:
The trio of watches released by Omega for the Rio games:
(the Omega Rio 2016 pen, is more rare than ... an honest politician).
In B&W, for the "connoisseurs".
I like the "vintage or near vintage" style selection that Omega did.
1) The Speedmaster Mark II re edition, Pure 70's look. The movement, should be the 1861 but in this case, where they will put a date to annoy Nicolas?
2) The Seamaster 300m "Bond style", plays a nice homage to the Copacabana beach sidewalk.
Movement is the 2500D that was used by the original Planet Ocean.
3) The Seamaster Bullhead Rio version complements closes nicely the Rio 2016 set.
Big, bold and "macho".
So, let's see what Brazil has to show as the Opening Ceremony (I hope that is not that corny as many predict, showing dancers, parrots and the usual stereotypes.)
Thanks for seeing.
Cheers,
Nilo
