Description
Very rare, fine and highly unusual Alain Silberstein "Kronosaphir 97" Edition No. 01/10. Made in a limited edition of only 10 examples in 1997. The timepiece is a skeletonised, self-winding, water-resistant, entirely sapphire crystal cased gentleman's time, date and chronograph wristwatch with geometrical shaped buttons.
Further details:
Case: Two-body, polished, titanium cylindrical lugs, screwed-down case back, colored geometrical crown and buttons, in sapphire crystal.
Dial: Transparent with applied gold ring dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers and the date. "Fancy" red triangular hour, "bâton" blue minute and “serpentine” yellow sweep-secondshands.
Movement: Cal. 7750, skeletonized, rhodium plated, 25 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, micrometer regulator. Case signed.
Comes with an Alain Silberstein replacement box (as pictured) but not papers (but Authenticity guaranteed or money back.)
For comparison Edition No. 04/10 of this timepiece (with B&P) was sold by Antiquorum Auctioneers in March 2005 for USD 16,100.
