VERY RARE and VERY COOL WATCH.
F.P Journe Elegante 48 Titalyt

Very comfortable and now a very desired watch since the Tytalit version with a white dial is now discontinued, just as of a few months ago.
Elegante 48 in Tytalit can be now ordered only with a black dial.
Impossible to get from FPJ. They will now NOT even put you on a waiting list for Elegante 48 unless you have a buying history with FPJ.
It is called the 'sleeping Watch' that comes with a unique quartz Electro-mechanical movement movement which took FPJ 8 years to develop.
It has a battery life ranging from 8 to (18 years,if worn in rotation with other watches). If it is not worn for over 35 minutes, it goes to a stand-by mode to conserve the energy.
The cal. 1210 enters a rest state while keeping track of time internally. Once the watch is picked up, the hands resume their function, (please see the video clip) taking the shortest route to set the current time, to conserve energy.
Titalyt is a process involving creating oxide coatings on the case through electro-chemical treatment. This not only transforms the watch aesthetically with a distinctive matte black finish but also enhances material hardness and corrosion resistance.Needless to say, it is a very unusual and remarkable watch.
Since the discontinuation of the Elegante 48 in Tytalit with the white dial, the prices have jumped and range from 49-65K on Chron0-24

The watch will be delivered with a brand NEW (paid $535) anthracite strap.
Orange, Navy and the Burgundy straps are 'short' and one of them can be delivered instead of the 'regular' length anthracite one, or they can also be purchased separately, if desired.
