"A dial to die for" and the opportunity to add to any serious collection a lost tradition of enamel art. One of only 8 examples of Paillonee art that will probably be lost for ever. In LNIB condition, I hope this watch that has been in my collection since new will find a good home with a Purist collector who can appreciate it for what it is. Back from Geneva and wearing this today. I had to shoot a video so
dressed up a bit and thought the Jaquet Droz Paillonee would do the trick. This is a very interesting watch. The dial is a blue enamel (or lacquer?) over a guilloche dial as the base. You can see it in one of the photos by looking at the left side of the watch in the light. The gold leaf “Paillons”
