FS: Roger Dubuis (early era, 2002) Golden Square manual wind WG - Geneva seal, Observatory
Roger Dubuis was making some INCREDIBLE watches in the early era. Many have skyrocketed in price recently, especially the chronographs.
For me, this is one of the best manual wind time only movements from that era, and the the curved case is amazing and so comfortable.
Watch is a 34x34 square (38.5mm round watch has the "surface area" as a 34x34 square, so it wears like a 38-39mm round watch)
You can see a picture I posted of it next to a 40mm round watch in fact.
So what do I love about this watch?
- The hands are incredible. The case is curved in an incredible way, as is the crystal.
- The brushed and polished sides create an incredible case - white gold
- Movement is a Geneva seal manual wind with Observatory paperwork
- Incredible wrist presence given the killer details. Avant garde art deco features.
I will call condition 90% on this to be conservative. It is super sharp. One super tiny mark on the crystal that you can barely see and may not even see (and my camera cannot even pick up it's so minor) and the case itself is super sharp.
Condition is incredible, period, strong hallmarks and it looks amazing on the wrist.
Comes with box and papers: inner box, outer box, warranty certificate of origin, Besancon Observatory paperwork, hand tag ($18,500 original price), original RD strap, original RD white gold tang.
