FS: Vintage 1940s Tissot manual wind Chronograph from HODINKEE - famous Lemania 27 (speedy Cal 321) movement
What do I love about this watch?
- Classic perfectly balanced 2 register manual wind chronograph
- Killer movement, the same movement in the vintage Speedy and of course in modern day, that Patek used as the base for the 5070 chronograph
- The hands! Amazing (and def not boring) hands
Ref 6212-6 from the 1940s in Stainless steel, 35mm and 10mm thick, plexiglass crystal
Caliber: Manual-wound chronograph Lemania caliber 27-4
Bought from HODINKEE in the shop and will come on a HODINKEE strap
SHARP case, and to quote Hodinkee about the watch:
The 35mm case of this chronograph is particularly sharp, with full lugs and intact brushing on the case bands.
The dial shows some patina, especially on the left side (perhaps it was worn on the right hand by a previous owner).
The chronograph movement works well and the pushers are crisp and responsive.
This is a classic vintage chronograph that continues to impress.
Priced well - a lot of bang for the buck here, sharp original chronograph, original dial, Hodinkee provenance. Manual wind with historically important movement base.
