Rare Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Contemporary Self-Winding Collection Excellence Platine Limited Edition
I am offering for sale my personal Patrimony Contemporary Self-Winding Collection Excellence Platine limited edition, reference 43150. Launched in 2011 in a limited edition of 150 pieces, the Patrimony Contemporary Self-Winding Collection Excellence Platine limited edition is a rare and exquisite example of all the Vacheron Constantin is best known for and does best. The example shown here i conservatively rated as in 98% condition.
the 42mm case is just 7.8mm thick and houses the legendary caliber 1120, which is just 2.45mm thick and in production since 1967. In this Patrimony, the rotor of the movement is given a stunning skeletonized treatment, making this one of the loveliest version of the movement as seen through the exhibition caseback. Stamped with the Geneva Seal, the movement's finishing is superb throughout.
The dial, like the case and tang buckle, is also made of solid platinum and the resulting sandblasted texture is extraordinary especially in sunlight. The dial is convex, curving downward around the perimeter, which makes this a very challenging dial to craft in platinum. It is spectacular and brilliant, unlike any other I have seen.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire an example from VC's Collection Excellence Platine (CEP). The CEP was launched in 2006 and always feature an existing piece from the VC collection, remade in platinum with platinum dials. The CEP pieces rarely come up for sale and I am unaware of any examples of the reference 43150 for sale elsewhere nor or recently. This is a chance to acquire this very special Vacheron Constantin watch in absolutely flawless condition.
The original strap is included and is in excellent condition. The strap features solid platinum threads, extending the theme of the CEP even into the strap. This watch has been worn carefully and lightly in rotation with many other watches.
I am making a few changes within my collection, and I am reluctantly selling this watch to fund two other pieces.
