10 years of joy, pride, and so many moments of pure happiness. I never owned a car for so long. Most of the time, I keep a car for 3 or 4 years, with some notable exceptions, such as my first car, a VW Scirocco ( 6 years ), or my Volvo C 70 T5 ( 7 years ). 10 years was what I wished when I bought this P1800E on the 21st of September 2012...Story

Alpine A 110 Légende: My third stage of improvements.

Compared to the two former stages, this third is maybe the one which took me a lot of time in thoughts, research and work. The car as I took delivery of it, in November 2020 : Indeed, while the first stage was the most evident, as it focused on the weight and chassis plus rims, the second stage was the base for my reflexions, with a work on the exhaust, the dynamic admission and the ventilators, which are the preliminaries for the improvements I will show you right now. One year with the Alpine A110!

My first year with the Alpine A 110 has just ended and I am starting the second year. All good, only pleasure, a true smile machine. I never owned a car for such a long time! 9 years! I just made 60, 000 kilometers with it. And the magic is still here, like the very first day I took the steering wheel. Vintage cars can be a nightmare. This Volvo never let me down, on the road...Story

Alpine A 110: My second stage of improvements is done.

I will basically have four stages. The first stage, I already reported, was about the chassis, mainly: I put the Chassis of the S version in my Legende: Bigger anti roll bars, stiffer suspensions, new light rims, different geometry settings, and some other delicacies, such as a light lithium battery... The second stage is more mechanical: four changes have just been made, in July: - A titanium exhaust, which has a superb sound ( 89 Db with the closed valves, 102 Db with the open valves ), which is very nice ... ...Story

In total transparency, I have to confess that I knew, since the first test drive in September that I will have an Alpine A 110. The questions were when, as I had to find the funds and I was a bit limited on that matter, and which one I would choose. As for the funds question, I could opt for a car I would configure, with the fundamental options, or one with a very low mileage. Both options were totally valid...Story

The Alpine Renault A 110 is one of these cars which are part of the Automotive Legends, and not only for the French People. Born in 1962, and produced for 16 years, this sportscar à la française attended some famous Rallyes, such as the Monte Carlo, and was a winner. It was made in a bit more than 7000 pieces. A day on the track with the Alpine A 110.

I was invited by an Alpine Authorized Dealer to test the Alpine on the track. I already tested it on the small roads of Normandy, and on the highway, too, I had to go farther and have some fun on the track to test its limits, and to get some notions on how to pilot a car on a track, too. We had an appointment at 9.00 AM, and I arrived a bit earlier, the Volvo C 70 T5 being a pretty fast car. The first surprise? The cars in presence...Story
