This is my personal favourite piece among AP's production of the "recent" past years (it was launched in 2019). It has one of the most eye-catching aventurine dial I know, with everything done right, imo: the realistic moon phase, the red 31, the simplifi...  

For me it fits your wrist perfectly!

but the lugs reach the edges of my wrist and the strap has to go straight down. I could pull it off, but I feel more comfortable with a smaller size.

In simple enamel white or black (no aventurine) . Even better in salmon.

are you speaking of the ref. 25720 from the 90’s?

I got mine five years ago - and never looked back. It actually was my first new AP purchase for a long time - and like you I was really mesmerized by the exquisite aventurine dial. On top of that, I think this dial is ideal with the CODE line, as the crys...  

Good on AP to leave that beautiful dial solid, aside from the moon window.

I forgot and like the 1st watch that you provided-very spacy with the bluish green colour-that watch is nice as well
