It really does. It’s surprising how long some of the cottage sports car manufacturers persevered - AC being a case in point.
The X1/9 could have been one of the e first cars I would be driven on - my dad wanted to get one for my mum but she refused, since the peak didn’t fit 😂🤷🏻♂️

It's a cool little set of wheels but I have always been suspect of pop up headlights. I've seen too many Pontiac Fieros with one light up and one down like they are winking at oncoming traffic.

I actually tried to buy one back in the day, it wasn't yellow like this one but a more subtle gun metal grey but couldn't agree on price. Looking back at it I think I dodged a bullet as nice as they looked they actually weren't that fast for a small fibre...
