Oh wow - what a cool pair, Jay!

And what a fantastic picture. I love the two together. Both very much off the beaten path in terms of a sports watch design and both representing the pinnacle of what a sports watch can be in terms of horological quality. Thanks for sharing this even if you are still honeymooning with Romain Gauthier You are now in good standing again๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
You are so right about the CS. This is a real value proposition at the moment as they are close to retail. And what is even more, there are so many dial variants that there is also, the possibility of finding your personal favorite.

BTW. I did try these in the past and really liked them but yours is a notch above

This was my first FPJ and itโ€™s still one of my favorite watches in my collection. People will have personal opinions on where to enter the brand but in my mind this is it! Soon it will be 15 years on my wrist and I still love it. It could be my only watch...

Great watch and strap combination!

I'm always happy to see a good color combination - even if it's alligator/crocodile strap, but I'm even more happy to see these kinds of non alligator/crocodile straps that look so good! I'm trying to reduce my alligator/crocodile strap consumption becaus...

Thank you Patrick ๐Ÿค—

I dont know anything about the alligator suffering. I sincerely hope itโ€™s not always the case. Animal cruelty is terrible no matter what species. For me, I often prefer the look of calf straps. I donโ€™t know when alligator straps became the default of the ...

Good point about the 50s and 60s!

By: patrick_y : December 8th, 2024-04:42
The slaughtering process of alligators and crocodiles is basically a metal rod that's shoved down their backs between the eyes. This scrambles their spinal cord. And then the animals can't fight back and also don't damage their skins - the most valuable p...

I agree, even if I went a slightly different direction on my first step.

But for me it was still a simple watch, and a perfect entry point. Whatโ€™s more, today and in todayโ€™s market the CS is even more the best entry point. For several reasons not least that one can get one for not much more than retail without waiting and wait...

Very very cool. Viken. An other amazing combo with the BC but I donโ€™t recall seeing this one before. Enjoy your weekend my friend.

I love the CS! Such a beauty.

Hereโ€™s my am shot. I love the color of the hands - the light really makes a difference and makes them look blue or black. ...

In fact this power reserve has a special detail. As the CS is inspired from Marine Chronometers it displays the hours from when it was last wound. This was used in the correct reading of the navigation clocks due to the drop in amplitude. This detail only...
